Before we tell you about our new meme – we’d all (me, Alfie and our Mom) like to congratulate Barb, Uncle Allen, and Gandalf and Grayson for looking out for dear little Whitey (read Whitey’s story HERE!) . The Cat Blogosphere (follow the linky in the sidebar for the story in more detail) said the following this morning:
Last year, when Not The Mama from Purrchance To Dream rescued Pete, The Cat Blogosphere created an “Official Not The Mama Seal Of Approval Award” for being a cat blogger who steps forward to help cats in need, always caring, always giving. And the CB celebrated a whole day dedicated to NTM. That was a very special day for Not The Mama, and recently, the story of Whitey at Gandalf and Grayson’s blog has reminded us that again it’s time to take an extra special step for someone who is extra special. And so, we would like to give Barb (some of you may know her from Will Think 4 Wine) the Official Not The Mama Seal Of Approval Award and name today as Three Cheers For Barb day!

We had some new visitors to our bloggie earlier this week, so we popped over to their place to pay our respects. And when we got there we couln’t believe our eyes! You see our new friends are Franklin, Dobby and Miss Tasha and Franklin is the doppleganger of Alfie! They could be twins – no really, they could! It’s uncanny!
Well it got us to thinking we should start a brand new meme called DOPPLEGANGER! Basically, you find ovver cat(s)/kitten(s) who looks just like you and you post a picture of you both – so we can all see how much of a doppleganger you are! It’s easy and fun!
“Doppelgänger” means any double or look-alike of a cat / kitten! OK?
These are our rules:
- You find a cat / kitten who looks just like you (more than one if you’ve got lotsa dopplegangers!) and you post a picture of you both (it’s best to ask permishun so no-one gets cross!). If you can get the same pose great – but it doesn’t matter.
- You link to your doppleganger so others can visit his/her bloggie’
- You leave us a comment (‘cos we love comments!) telling us you joined in wiv a linky so we can see you post.
- You don’t hafta nominate anyone else to do it if you don’t want to – but you can if you like.
- You hafta post these rules in case anyone else wants to join in!

Wow that is amazing how much they look alike! I’ll play next week too – I know exactly who my doppelganger is. Mum has one too but she says she’s not putting her face on the interweb.

Alfie, we have lots of Dopplegangers, don’t we? It’s fun!
I posted a couple of weeks ago about my twin. My mom found his picture on the internet. But even crazier was that his name was also Tuck!!
This is a really great idea! And the boogie mat coincidence is truly spooky
. We used to post on Flickr a lot and met several Franklin look-alikes, but they were all girl cats. He’s happy to meet some boy cats that look like him – he was getting a bit concerned.

P.S. We also want to say thanks to Gandalf’s mom Barb and her brother Allen for rescuing Whitey.
The only way I could tell who was the real Alfie was by what the mouse hovering told me — then once I saw the green carpet after that, I knew it was him. Good doppelganging, though!
It’s a very creative idea. I think maybe I could find a doppelganger for Dylan and Domino, but it will be very hard to find one for Dante.
Actually, Domino could almost be your doppelganger Alfie. Look at our blog today and tell me what you think.

What a fun meme! We guess all of them right! Alfie…you may look like other kitties, but there is only one you!
We know there’s other kitties out there that look like us….we’ll have to post something in the future!
Sigh–I am so unique no other Siamese looks exactly like me… I wish the Woman would stop saying it’s because I am so fat.
Oh, this is fun – we may have to play next week. It will be easy with Floyd – there are tons of kitties who look like him (heck, my cousin had a cat that was identical). In fact if you look at Cory up above, there is one right there (altough Cory is a girl and Floyd is a boy). But the other three will be a lot harder!
Sorry Milo! I know I made a mistake. When I meant to type Milo, Alfie was on my mind right after seeing his pictures. I definitely know the difference between you, because you’re a tuxy Milo — and so is Domino!
That’s OK Wendy, Mom has those type of senior moments all the time! We’re used to it. Fortunately she calls us her beautiful boys most of the time – so it doesn’t matter that she gets our names wrong!
We’d know you anywhere Alfie Marshall, and we got all three right. You and your doppelgangers are like quads though.
We will try and get mum to help us with this next week. I, Eric have got two doppelgangers and Flynn has at least three.
What a great idea! I have several doppelgangers, I will have to work on this. I would have had a harder time guessing Alfie if I hadn’t recognised the green carpet.
