Hi Efurryone,
It’s that time of week again when you need to put your wellies on and get out in a garden! I’m just a trainee gardener at the moment, so I know nuffin, but if you want really impawtant proper gardening tips, hot paw it over to visit garden expert Jonesie, at Cory’s bloggie! . Jonesie has taken me under her paw and is teaching me how to be a really good gardener (although apparently I’ve only got a little bit of potenshull so it could take ages). (By the way Cory and Jonesie, we can’t comment on your bloggie at the moment as it’s still broked, but we are reading it every day. Anthing you can do to help would be appreciated!).

My hot gardening tips for the week are:
- Never, I repeat never, let your beans mow the grass! (Most beans don’t seem to grasp this point!) Not only does it save them time so they haff more time to spend wiv you, but also we cats will love them for it ‘cos we like nuffin more than rolling around in long grass. It’s great for hunting for mousies, and also good to nibble on (speshully if you fink you may have a furball that needs huffing up!) and it’s good ruffage!
- Keep your gardening tools nice ’n clean! The bestest way to do this is NOT to use them!
- And finally, don’t let the tubs dry out! Check them regularly, espeshully if your Mom is hopeless and tends to forget!

Love Alfie Marshall xx (Trainee Gardener)

That is very good advice Alfie Marshall. Unfortunately mum and dad have hired some men to “do something” with my garden. Hmpf.
We love the photos today! And mom is LOL at your second tip!
P.S. mom wants to do a doppleganger thing on our blog when she has time (which means in a week or two – she is SO SLOW!) Ccan she use some photos?
Of course you can use my photos!
Alfie xx (bursting wiv pride!)
ha ha Alfie! You got me shaking my head and sighing…the trick to “using” tools is being creative with them. Try dropping one of those tools on the ground and use them to scratch an itch. Maybe come up with your own uses. You do have it right that you would never use them to actually dig.
Pee Ess…the picture of you with your tools and your wellies is killing us with your cuteness.
Pee Ess Ess…we don’t know why there is a problem with the commenting still, but if mom can figure it out she’ll fix it. Blogger has been giving us fits lately with other things not working.
Hi Jonesie,
We can’t wait to be able to comment again. We miss talking to you all.
Hi Alfie. You’re such a cute gardener! Meowmy would love to have you come over and keep her company when she’s gardening. Yesterday she was weeding the herbs and vegetables and found some fur from Blue, the meezer next door…he nests in amongst the catnip plants!
I think you are doing a great job in the garden! I think if the beans spent less time mowing and tending the garden, we’d have more fun exploring! And they’d have more energy to pet and play with the kitty.
I think you are going to be a fast learner Alfie. Love that photo of you in your gardening gear!
Alfie, you iz just adorable in your gardening gear. It’s good that your mum has you to help her out! And your tips are fabulous.
Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew
I think you are looking like a very astute gardener already.
Top Tips Alfie, our lazy fat apes particularly like the one about not using the tools. I think promotion to Head Gardener will happen very soon
Uncle Wuudler
Alfie, it looks like you are picking up the gardening skills very quickly! And most importantly of all, you have a fabulous gardening outfit.
Wow Alfie! You certainly are a quick learner. You are doing very well. And my kitties agree with you about not cutting the grass, except their daddy isn’t like yours, and he actually leaves it as long as possible. So we have a jungle out in the back and it’s lotsa fun, especially the grasshoppers!
We love you and Milo, too Alfie!
You have some very fabulous gardening tips, Alfie Marshall!
Oh Alfie your gardening tips are always wonderful! Also, I went to visit Jonesie’s blog and we think we know the prolbem – it is the followers gadget. I bet you are getting the “operation aborted” message – just hit the back button a couple times and the once it has fully loaded that gadget you should be ok – it will still be a little tough to comment but it usually works once you get through the first time. We have seen a lot of that lately! You could also let Jonsie know to move the followers gadget to the bottom of the page – that seems to work (at least according to the help site on blogger). We had that problem too and so do a bunch of their blogs.
Thanks for all the great tips – and the great pics too!
Happy dance! Happy Dance!!!!
We removed everything that had java script in the “gadget” and bingo! Hopefully blogger will solve the problem and we can add stuff back later, but until they do we can have you visit again without a big pain in the you know what!
Cory, isn’t it great! We are SO thrilled. We love visiting your bloggie and commenting. Interestingly, it loads really quickly now too!!!!
Alfie, you sure are learning quick about gardening! WE specially like you in your straw hat and boots…or are those your wellies??
Yep they’re my wellies!
Alfie, you already know quite a bit about gardening and we know you will soon become a Master Gardener! We bet you’ll even be able to teach Milo a thing or two!
You have given some very good gardening tips Alfie. We are going to tell our dad to stop mowing the lawn. We like your gardening outfit.
Wow, dem great tips for gardenings! Grass is lovely huh!
Purrrrrrrrrrrrs
Sounds like you learned a lot already!
