When Mom first started blogging she found herself feeling guilty when she hadn’t got time to blog, or read all her friends’ blogs – let alone leave a comment regularly. Then she came across a really sensible comment that Rubyshooz (a blogging friend) made.
Rubyshooz said, (in a nutshell) that she believed that everyone should blog without obligation. That a blog shouldn’t become a treadmill to you and you should only blog when you felt you had something to say – rather than because you felt obligated because sometimes, less is more.

She pointed out that you will not get the statistics of how many people visited your blog, or left a comment on it, engraved on your tombstone – so don’t be a martyr, blog with integrity and only when you feel like it!

Well Mom and I wholeheartedly agree, so we’ve joined the club! Thank you RubyShooZ for the logos and the common sense. Please feel free to copy any BWO logo for your own blog if you’d like to.
Of course, I still like to blog as often as Mom has time to help me – but it is nice to know that when I have other things to do (such as snoozzzzzzzzzing), I needn’t feel guilty!

This is a great idea!
A fantastic idea. Now I won’t feel so guilty if I don’t always remember to comment everywhere.
What a good idea!
That’s how I take it, should be a pleasure and not a daily obligation. As I am retired and have nothing to do anymore I am happy to have found blogging. At least it keeps me busy and lets me run around with my camera to take pictures.
Thanks for your kind comment for Lisa. I went through this twice, both cats were 20 years old and they are still with us. You never forget of course.
Thank you so much for dropping by my blog. It was great to hear from you. I visited your Mom’s blog and checked out her fantastic photos of Sidmouth! I’m hooked. Have also copied your BWO logo and appreciate the principle. Will be checking out your blog in its entirety and will comment as I go… it will take me a while though (heaven).. you have so much to share….am delighted. Thanks. Helen, D&B
