Happy Easter everybuddy!

Hi Everybuddy! Alfie here!

The weather has been glorious here! Mom has now got a week’s holiday from work for Easter so Milo and I plan to spend quality time with her and dad.  We’ve been discussing our blog with mom and we’ve agreed we will post a catch up post once a week ~ rather than blogging several days running, as mom has been finding it takes too much time up. That way there will be more time for fun and we won’t lose touch with all our friends.  We will probably check the CB several times a week though ~ so we won’t miss anyone’s birthdays or important news. We thought this was a good compromise ~ as we didn’t want to give up our blog!

This is the Easter Egg tree our uncle (mom’s brother) grew ~ isn’t it amazing? We’re hoping there is a nip egg on there with our names on it!

I have been trying to grow an Easter Egg Tree too! But so far … no eggs on it!

Mom has got a lot going on at the moment so has decided to take a mini blogcation. We will still get to check the CB every few days so hopefully we will know what’s going on.

World Cancer Day 2012

Today we are quietly purring for ALL our friends and family, and our extended blogging families, who have been affected by cancer in one way or another.

We know both humans and furries who are currently fighting this disease, and today we are saying a very special PURRayer for you ALL.

We are also remembering beloved humans and beloved furries who lost their brave fight against cancer, but are still very much in our hearts and memories ~ we will never forget you.  You are very LOVED.

This candle is for you, our special BRIDGE and HEAVEN Angels:

Please take a moment to silently remember and PURRay  and to say THANK YOU for the lives of those who continue to survive.

Lending a paw …

Here at The Cat’s Meow we like to lend a paw to help others whenever we can …

especially when helping involves deserving kittens and cats finding loving forever homes.

So today ~ we would like to highlight a dear friend’s cause:

Most of you will already know Winnie’s heartbreaking story and will be aware that although she didn’t survive the love felt for her was so great it lives on through Winnie’s Wish ~ making her wish a reality week by week, month by month, year by year.

There are several ways you can lend a paw!

1. You could create a blog post yourself that will remind people about Winnie’s Wish and direct them to Chrystal’s blog and the precious kittens and cats who need loving forever homes. You may borrow pics and text from Chrystal’s blog to insert in your own post ~ she doesn’t mind.
2. You could TWEET about adoptables ~ or post on your FB page.
3. You could make a donation ~ there is a link on the Winnie’s Wish page. NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL when it comes to helping homeless and sick kittens. We know times are hard ~ so don’t be embarrassed if it’s just a single $ or £.  Homeless kittens and cats are ALWAYS grateful.
4. OR if you have a Bridge-Angel you would like to honour, by purchasing a brick for the Winnie’s Wish Walkway, you can do that too. We purchased the FIRST EVER brick for that walkway ourselves ~ and we can assure you it made our hearts feel all warm and fuzzy inside. So if you’d like that warm fuzzy feeling ~ you know what to do!
5. You could post unwanted kitten toys or snuggly blankies for the Winnie’s Wish room ~ or if you prefer sell them in a fundraiser and donate the proceedings.  Every little helps.
6. OR and this is the BIGGY! You could welcome an adorable, fluffy, purry, whiskery, bundle of kitten or cat joy into your life from the Winnie’s Wish room, freeing up a space for more homeless cats to be rescued.  HOW AWESOME would that be?  Go on … admit it!  You know you want to be adopted by a kitten or a lovely older cat! You may not live near BUT don’t panic ~ TRANSPORT can be arranged!  You won’t be denied adoption by a fluffy kitten just because you live a distance away!  No sireeeee!
7. You could consider sponsoring a homeless kitten until they find their forever home ~ perhaps making a regular small donation (are such things tax deductible?)
8. If you are one of the angels who have already been adopted by a Winnie’s Wish kitty, you could do a special post on your blog about that kitty with a link to Winnie’s Wish.  And by the way ~ THANK YOU!  We love what you did. We bet you feel all WARM and FUZZY inside!

Man Cats of Mystery!

Today we had a visitor!

It was our pal Kozmo (International Man Cat of Mystery), who is currently touring the UK as part of his WORLD TOUR!

Shortly after lunch today, the International Man Cat of Mystery arrived by First Class flight:

Apparently he had detoured to see where HRH Maj lives and visit the Tower of London ~ and to carry out some TOP SECRET assignments!

Then he made his way along the coast, arriving at Sidmouth!

We don’t know why BUT there were some suspicious looking chickens hanging about watching when Kozmo arrived!

Kozmo told us they were probably INTERNATIONAL SPIES!

We think one of them was a double agent ~ a SPY for the Feline Bureau of Investigation!

Milo put his NYPD hat on … to try and look TUFF and SCARE the SPIES  away!

Then we were interviewed interrogated  for further TOP SECRET information!

And we were so helpful, we were given fancy badges to show we now offishully work for the FBI ~ awesome huh?
