Our friend Huffle got this lovely award (we think it’s a meme actually) and passed it on to anyone that takes food that they shudn’t!  That’s us! ()

oops I ate it!

Milo: If yoo take part in the The Oops I Ate It meme, it means you hafta blog about food you have stolen when your humans weren’t watching. Don’t try to pretend yoo’ve never done that ‘cos we don’t believe yoo! If you want to join in yoo add the logo of this award to your blog (optional), then yoo nominate at least 5 other furry blogs and let them know by leaving them a message on their blogs.

We would like to nominate the first 5 furries who are willing to fess up and admit they stoled food! Please indicate in the comments if you dare! And we’ll know if yoo are telling fibs!

Well there was no way I could not tell the truth because I was caught on video being norty~ or rather the aftermath was! My only excuse is I was just a kitten then (well only about 6 months old anyway). Mom had bought herself a rock cake to eat wiv her afternoon tea ~ and  she left it in the kitchen on the worktop. Well, like any sensible cat I eated it up ~ or at least I nibbled all round the edge!

But since we are having a TRUTH session, I might as well admit that I still take anything and everything left unguarded on a worktop or plate! I consider it my duty to test efurrything out and make sure it’s safe and hi-jeenic for Mom to eat. Tee hee. After all I’m a Musketeer ~ and we hafta protect our beans from danger. That’s wot we do!

Alfie: It’s my turn now! I’ve always been good at getting food stuff. I sit by Mom when she’s eating and I just look all cute and appealing. I don’t whine (like Milo) or meow (like Milo) or paw the plate (like Milo) or climb up on the table (like Milo) …

Milo: That’s a norty fib! Yoo so do! Here’s a picture to prove it ~ and if that bum’s not on the table I don’t know wot is!!!!!

Alfs on the kitchen table

Alfie: OK yoo got me! But I still look cute don’t I ? Mom gived me a treat just after this picture was taken … and a kiss.

Milo:  :sigh: No wonder yoo’re norty!

When we were visiting Huffle Mawson’s bloggie we read the post 10 Things about my Dad  and decided we hadta join in. Thanks Huff! Anyone else that would like to join can consider themselves tagged ~ OK?

  1. Our Dad was born in Germany and he lived there until he was 5 years old, then he moved to West Sussex in England with his German Mom (because she married an English man).
  2. He never met his real Dad ~ he was brought up by his German Mom and English step dad.  Dad has his English step-dad’s surname.
  3. Although he only spoke German until he was five, he doesn’t remember his first language now (which is sad)  because after the second World War there was a lot of anti-german feeling in the UK and so he was discouraged from speaking his native tongue lest he was bullied at school. He said he deeply regrets losing his first language.
  4. When he was 5 years old he fell off his bike and landed in the road and an eight wheeled lorry ran over his arm completely crushing it from just below the elbow to above the elbow. He was rushed to hospital and they were going to amputate his arm because it was so badly destroyed but Archie McIndoe was there and he insisted on saving it. He carried out a huge long surgical procedure (Dad was in hospital for a whole year) and saved his arm by rebuilding it (He had to completely reconstruct it). Dad hadta have skin grafted off his bum onto his arm ~ so when he scratches his arm, he’s really scratching his bum! (Tee hee) Dad said that Archie McIndoe changed his life and he is so lucky to have met him at the right time in his life. (Archie McIndoe started The Guinea Pig Club (The Guinea Pig Club  is the name given to the pilots injured in the Battle of Britain who were treated by Sir Archibald McIndoe at the burns unit of Queen Victoria’s Hospital in East Grinstead, West Sussex. The Guinea Pigs were give this name simply because McIndoe had no choice but to try out his ideas on the men as he had no book to refer to or guide him)
  5. Dad is Formula One crazy ~ he watches every Grand Prix and loves fast cars.
  6. Dad is a computer boffin. Mom said wot he doesn’t know about computers isn’t worth knowing. He started working in computers way back in the 1970s when a computer was as big as a whole room.
  7. Dad adores animals of every sort (especially us!!!) ~ Mom said he wouldn’t even hurt a fly ~ he is very gentle and kind to ALL animals and insects.
  8. Dad loves reading ~ so if he is not watching a Grand Prix,  and isn’t messing wiv his computer, he’s gotted his head in a book! He likes action, espionage and political thrillers type stuff best.
  9. Dad can’t cook at all ~ Mom said he would starve to death if left to cook for himself. When Mom first met Dad he was living on his own and used to eat all his meals out at a cafe or restaurant (even breakfast!). Mom said he loves her cooking and is always very appreciative of the meals she presents him wiv.
  10. Dad has recently got poorly eyes (the retinas keep trying to detach themselves) and the doctors think he may have Glaucoma (he is still having tests and stuff).

Our Dad holding us!

(his poorly arm is the one on the right in the picture and he can use it normally although it is very scarred and his elbow is in the wrong place!)
